Replacement Parts
Dresser-Rand Service Centre (Pty) Ltd. manufactures and supplies a wide range of replacement parts for turbo compressors. This includes gear sets, impellers, bearings and seals. Dresser-Rand Service Centre (Pty) Ltd. is a SABS ISO 9001:2008 accredited company and all work is carried out to the highest international standards. Our in-house sophisticated CNC machine centers and international support partners enable the manufacture of all impeller designs currently found in turbo compressors, machined from single piece solid forged material or utilizing other manufacturing techniques to ensure the integrity of the part. Through chemical analysis and mechanical testing procedures carried out on the sample part combined with supporting investigation into the operating and maintenance history of the specific compressor, materials are selected by design engineers to meet the demands of the unique operating conditions of each machine. Dresser-Rand Service Centre (Pty) Ltd. can reproduce any compressor impeller (i.e. single piece machined from solid forged material, weld constructed, lost wax cast, vacuum brazed construction or combining techniques) making allowances for wear or damage.
Parts Refurbishment
When conducting inspections during maintenance or repair projects, the final report offered to the customer would include alternative suggestions in terms of refurbishment as opposed to new replacement parts where feasible. The decision to repair a part is supported by an engineering process. In some cases a high level of value can be added by refurbishing the part, but a careful risk analysis should be part of the decision making process.
