Our business success is supported by our ability to balance our relationships with our employees and the communities where we operate. In the factory and in our global service operations, our priority is health and safety. In communities where we have a presence, we are focused on harmonizing long-term economic, social and environmental benefits through sustainable initiatives, job creation, supplier engagement, research and development activities, and educational support. Our commitment is to broaden these benefits by expanding our local presence in the places where we operate.

2010 Commitments 2010 Accomplishments
Continue to strive to provide safe and secure workplaces in every country where we do business Initiated our "Culture of Caring" and made progress on our journey to zero injuries, achieving a record-level safety performance (reduced TRIR 38% to 0.5)

HSE sub-committees implemented at Olean, N.Y., facility and have helped lower site TRIR
Provide partnerships with local schools and universities with respect to career and job skills development Developed partnerships with nine key educational institutions to date to leverage significant research, training and alumni recruiting opportunities

Donated reciprocating compressor to Rochester Institute of Technology for research and educational purposes
Expand our corporate charitable initiatives with a focus on education Committed approximately $650,000 in both cash and in-kind contributions to secondary education and sponsored research projects at both the secondary and university levels
Increase our training and development investment in our employees worldwide Increased training per employee to an average of approximately 39 hours versus 25 in 2009, an increase of 56%, principally for safety and compliance training

Maintained the amount of hours required for employee training

Graduated 126 from Business Acumen program; expanded our Operational Excellence program
Extend and deploy job creation to our specific localization initiatives In Saudi Arabia, more than 40 Saudi students (interns) were added to the company's payroll

In India, the company launched a new engineering center, adding approximately 50 employees

Added three service centers with approximately 55 employees
